Philodendron Melanochrysum - Rare Aroid - 4" Pot

Philodendron Melanochrysum are highly sought-after for their velvety texture and their ability to to grow large picture perfect leaves. New leaves emerge a deep purple and slowly mature into a bronze and then dark green. They can be planted into a hanging basket to spill over and cascade or potted with a trellis or totem and left to climb.

Light Level: Bright Indirect

Humidity: Medium to High

Water: Allow the top two inches of soil to dry between waterings.

Medium: Well draining, chunky soil.

Well packaged, accurate description on website, and very pretty plants. A few leaves were lost in shipping but I’m not sure that could have been helped at all. I bought three to make a larger plant, so the missing leaves are not as obvious.

The plant was a little smaller than it looked in the picture. That said, it healthy and is doing well 😃. There is a new leaf that is about to unfurl, I feel like an expectant mother !
